Wondering what to do with that extra amount of weed in your jar that you know you’re not going to smoke within the next few weeks?

Why don’t you use it for cooking?

Virtually every recipe that contains some sort of cooking fat can be transformed into a marijuana edible.

All you need is a cannabis-infused butter, oil, or olive — then you can easily substitute some amount of regular butter with your marijuana infusion, depending on how potent you want the meal to be.

Yes, it’s that easy!

The history of cooking marijuana dates back to the 10th century India where people have been mixing ground cannabis flowers into milk (Bhang) for spiritual use.

In this article, you’ll learn how to make our top 4 easiest marijuana edible recipes to try at home. They’re not only easy but also creative and, above all, finger-licking good!

Are you ready to pull out your apron?

1. Cookies & Cream THC Cheesecake Bites

If you’re in a serious relationship with cheesecake, this recipe will blow your mind and taste buds. It’s a truly tantalizing treat, with its creamy texture and a cookie crunch — and it’s also sugar-free!

Cookie Crunch:

  • 4 tbsp cocoa powder (unsweetened)
  • ½ cup plain flour (you can substitute it with almond flour)
  • ½ tsp vanilla bean paste
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 tbsp clarified butter

Cheesecake Filling:

  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • ½ cup almond butter
  • ¼ tsp vanilla bean paste
  • 5 full droppers of marijuana tincture / 1 tsp cannabutter

Cookies and Cream THC Cheesecake Bites

  1. For the dough: preheat your oven to 300 F
  2. Combine cocoa, almond flour, vanilla bean paste, salt, and baking powder in a medium bowl.
  3. Add the egg with coconut oil and stir until mixed well.
  4. Scoop out the cookie batter and place each piece on a sheet of parchment paper. They should be about 1–2 inches wide once you’ve pressed them down.
  5. Bake your cookies in the oven for up to 15 minutes or until they become crispy.
  6. Let them cool down to room temperature. This will make them even more crispy, so don’t panic if you think your cookies seem too soft at the beginning.
  7. For the filling: Mix all the ingredients in the bowl of a stand mixer and work it until the filling gets smooth.
  8. Fold in half od the crumbled cookies and mix them into the filling.
  9. Scoop out one cheesecake ball and empty the scoop on the top of the remaining cookie crumbles. Roll it in the crumble to make sure the cream cheese mass is entirely covered in the cookies.
  10. Transfer your marijuana cheesecake bites to the fridge or freezer (if you want them to solidify faster). Serve cold.

2. Marijuana Guacamole

People love Mexican cuisine mostly for being notoriously delicious and full of different flavors. But guacamole deserves a culinary Nobel prize (if something like this even exists) or, at least, a high place on the list of new world wonders.

The main ingredient, avocado, is made from fats, which makes it a perfect base to infuse your marijuana butter for even more flavor. If you don’t want to add the extra fat from butter to your recipe, you may substitute it with a THC tincture.

  • 2 medium ripe avocados — peeled, seeded, and halved
  • ¾ tbsp lime juice
  • ½ tsp Himalayan salt
  • ½ tsp ground cayenne pepper
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • 2 small tomatoes, seeded and diced
  • ½ medium onion, finely diced
  • 1 small garlic clove, minced
  • ½ jalapeno pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp cannabutter / 1–2 mL marijuana tincture

  • Mash your avocados in a mortar with a fork or pestle.
  • Add the garlic, jalapeno, tomatoes, cumin, salt, and lime juice. Top with the cannabutter/tincture and mix well.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let your dip sit at room temperature for at least 1 hour before serving.
  • Enjoy!

3. THC-infused Parmesan Mashed Potatoes

This recipe will turn any Thanksgiving into Danksgiving in no time. Want some happy mashed potatoes? Add a desired amount of cannabutter into your regular recipe — and voila!

  • 8 cups of pre-made mashed potatoes
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp marijuana butter
  • ¼ cup whipping cream
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp Himalayan salt
  • 2 tsp freshly ground black pepper

THC-infused Parmesan Mashed Potatoes

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed potatoes with unsalted butter, marijuana butter, parmesan cheese, whipping cream, salt, and pepper.
  • Place the potato puree in a medium casserole dish and lightly cover it with oil, using a paper towel.
  • Top the mashed potatoes with parmesan cheese so it creates an even layer.
  • Bake them at 400 F.
  • Allow the mashed potatoes to cool off a bit and serve as a side. Just make sure no other dish is infused with weed.

4. Slow Cooker Mozzarella-stuffed Marijuana Meatballs

This is hands down our favorite marijuana edible recipe to try at home. When it comes to comfort food, nothing can beat the satisfaction from eating cheese-stuffed meatballs in a thick sauce.

This hearty meal is very nutritious and provides you with a decent amount of cannabutter to get your cooking experience one level higher.

  • 8 cups tomato puree
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp marijuana butter
  • ½ cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 lb ground beef or pork (lean)
  • 1 lb spicy Italian sausage (e.g. pepperoni or nduja)
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  2. Set the slow cooker to “high” and cover for the time you’ll be preparing meatballs (about 30 minutes).
  3. Mix all meatball ingredients (except the mozzarella) in a large bowl. Work with the mass using your hands, just like you do with a pizza dough.
  4. Take a golf ball-sized piece of the meat mixture and place a cut of mozzarella in the center.
  5. Fold the beef around the cheese until fully enclosed. Repeat until you’re done with all the meat.
  6. Take the meatballs into the slow cooker and cover with the sauce. Close the slow cooker and continue cooking on high up to 3 hours.
