What is Top Shelf concentrates?
Top Shelf is a dedicated craft extraction house built for concentrate lovers who demand pungent strain terpenes, crystal clarity, and heavy potency without boutique retail price tags. Top Shelf focuses on small-batch hydrocarbon extractions, flash-purging premium indoor and greenhouse flower into terpene-rich shatter, whipped budder, and ultra-pure flavoured distillate. Every run starts with cured, trichome-heavy Canadian cannabis, giving you clean dabs that melt spotless without leaving burnt carbon in your banger.
What is the difference between Top Shelf Shatter and Budder?
The core difference comes down to post-extraction curing and physical texture:
- Top Shelf Shatter: Purged under precise vacuum pressure at low temperatures to create a stable, glass-like amber sheet that snaps cleanly at room temperature. Shatter preserves crisp top-note terpenes and is ideal for users who enjoy clean handling and classic dab-rig hits. Popular varieties like Rainbow Belts, Mac 1, and Goji OG deliver unmistakable strain character.
- Top Shelf Budder: Gently agitated and whipped during the purge cycle to incorporate terpenes and create a creamy, butter-like frosting. Budder is much softer and easier to scoop with a standard dab tool, making it the perfect choice for electronic vaporizers, dab pens, or spreading into hand-rolled joints.
- Top Shelf Flavoured Distillates: High-potency, triple-distilled THC oil infused with botanically matched terpenes for maximum smoothness and discreet, flavourful vaping or infusion.
What is the best temperature to dab Top Shelf extracts?
To experience the full aromatic terpene profile without scorching the extract, dab Top Shelf shatter and budder between 480u00b0F and 530u00b0F (low to medium heat). If you use a traditional quartz banger and torch, heat the bucket for 30 seconds, let it cool for 45 to 50 seconds, then drop your dab and cap it with a carb cap. The flavour will be bright and the vapor smooth and expansive on the exhale.
Can I mix Top Shelf extracts into joints and bowls?
Absolutely. Known as twaxing, adding a ribbon of Top Shelf budder or shattered shards of glass into ground flower significantly boosts both flavour and burn time. When rolling into a joint, place the extract in the center of your flower bed so the paper burns evenly and the paper does not run.
How should I store Top Shelf shatter and budder?
Store your shatter in its original non-stick parchment paper inside an airtight glass jar or silicone container. Keep it in a cool, dark cupboard or wine cooler (ideally between 15u00b0C and 18u00b0C). Avoid exposing shatter to high humidity or warm temperatures, which can cause the brittle glass texture to sugar out or become sticky.
