Durban Poison comes from the port city of Durban, South Africa, where landrace sativas have been grown for generations. Ed Rosenthal and Mel Frank carried seed out in the late 1970s, and the strain quietly became one of the most influential parents in modern breeding: GSC carries Durban genetics on one side of its family. It remains what it always was: a pure, unhybridized sativa with a sweet anise nose and a clean, long-running high.
