The story of Gorilla Glue

GG4 - originally Gorilla Glue #4, renamed Original Glue after a trademark dispute with the adhesive maker - was an accident that turned into a legend. Colorado breeder Joesy Whales discovered a Chem's Sister x Sour Dubb plant so resinous it glued his trimmer scissors shut, and after brother-in-law Mardogg's Chocolate Diesel pollen entered the picture, the three-way cross produced the stickiest plant most growers had ever seen. It won the 2014 Cannabis Cups in Los Angeles and Michigan and spent years as the most requested strain in North American shops.

The resin story is real: GG4 produces trichome production that earns its name, and growers literally keep alcohol and gloves on hand for trim. A 8 week flower with vigorous hybrid stretch, it is forgiving but messy - supercropping or trellising helps manage the stretch, and humidity control matters late because dense, resin-caked buds are prone to mold. One of the heaviest hitters on any menu. The high is a fast euphoric rush that turns into full-body sedation within 20 minutes - hence the couch-glue reputation. At 18 to 30 percent THC, even veterans respect it. Best for evenings, pain and insomnia; do not plan to be productive after two hits.
