Can I Make Cannabutter From Spent Flower?
Yes, but expect weak results. Already-vaped or decarboxylated flower retains some cannabinoids (often 20 to 30 percent of the original THC), so butter made from it works but is mild. Use double the amount of spent flower you would use fresh, simmer low and slow, and strain well. For reliable potency, fresh flower is the better base.
Cannabutter, just like
canna-oil, is one of the most versatile mediums to consume cannabis. It helps you digest cannabis in your everyday meals, and control the potency & doses, according to your desires.
There are various types of cannabutter, including garlic cannabutter, herb butter, and plain pot butter. So many options, and they’re all very easy to make. My favorite one is garlic herb cannabutter, the recipe of which I’ll be sharing here with you.
I love having garlic herb cannabutter, with king prawns & grilled chicken. I have this cannabutter stored in my fridge all the time, and whenever I have guests at my place, I cook sausages, cut them into slices, and serve it with this delicious cannabutter. Such a quick, easy, and super-tasty meal to serve!
Let your creativity step in, and I’m pretty sure you’ll find a lot of other dishes for the garlic herb cannabutter. This infused butter is a great product and takes almost any meal from delicious to super-delicious!
Note: The cannabis infused garlic herb butter should be kept in the fridge until utilization. It stays fresh for a couple of weeks when refrigerated. If you want to store it for a longer time, then it can you can store it in the freezer for several months.
Short on time? Skip the prep and browse our ready-made cannabis edibles, dosed per serving.
How long does the THC take to kick in?
Expect 30 to 90 minutes for infused foods, peaking around hours 2 to 3. Wait a full 2 hours before having more: edibles hit later and last longer than smoking.
How should I store leftovers?
Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 4 days, or freeze portions for later. Label them clearly and keep them away from kids.
Can I adjust the strength?
Yes: the dose depends entirely on the THC content of your infusion. Start with less infusion, taste-test a small serving, and scale from there.
Can I buy this ready-made instead?
Yes: our edibles category includes precisely dosed cannabis foods like this one, third-party tested and shipped across Canada.
How strong is cannabutter made from spent (already vaped) flower?
Much milder than fresh-flower butter: spent flower typically keeps only a fifth to a third of its original THC, and what remains is often more CBN-heavy (sleepy rather than euphoric). Use more material and dose carefully, since potency is harder to predict.
